Engine 162


2007 International/KME

Engine 162 is our primary structure fire response engine and has the Compressed Air Foam System, or C.A.F.S., on board. This piece of apparatus has a 500 gallon water tank and can discharge at a rate of 1500 gallons per minute. Its four-wheel drive and short wheelbase allows us to reach many areas with narrow lanes or difficult terrain.

 
 
Engine 161


2005 KME Predator 2000

Engine 161 is our primary rescue engine, carrying Genesis extrication tools. It can discharge at a rate of 2000 gallons per minute from its 750 gallon water tank.

 
 
Utility 16


2003 Chevrolet 2500 HD with Utility body

Utility 16 is our primary medic assist vehicle, assisting EMS units as a "first responder" on emergencies in the Mt. Aetna response area.

 
 
Tanker 16


2001 Freightliner FL 80

Tanker 16 is our water supply unit, with a 2000 gallon water tank that can discharge at 1000 gallons per minute. It is one of only 4 dedicated tankers in Washington County, MD.
