Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Dept. Welcomes You

The Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves Mt. Aetna and surrounding communities in the eastern section of Washington County, MD. Mt. Aetna volunteers operate two frontline engines, a tanker, an EMS first responder vehicle and two command cars out of our station located at Crystal Falls Drive and Mt. Aetna Road.

This website is designed to serve as a resource for residents of the community, our members, and fellow fire/rescue/EMS service providers. We invite feedback and suggestions as the website evolves and expands over time.

The Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Department depends on your contributions to help meet our operational funding needs each year. We welcome donations at any time. But, once a year we ask all residents and businesses in the district to participate in our subscription plan.
 
A big thank you to all residents, businesses and organizations contributing to our 2009-2010 subscription drive to date. Without your support, your community volunteer fire department would struggle to provide the services you expect.
 
If you forgot to mail in your annual subscription, please take a moment today to do so. For residents the minimum donation is $35 (for homes 3000 square feet or less) or $50 (homes over 3000 sf); $50 for schools, churches and non-profit organizations; $100 for commercial businesses. When you become a Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Department subscriber, not only are you providing critical support to your local volunteers, you’ll also avoid direct billing for fire-rescue services, even if your insurance carrier fails to pay any charges.
 
If you misplaced or did not receive the MAVFD Fall 2009 newsletter and subscription request, simply download a copy of the newsletter and a payment voucher from the FILES section of the website (on the left side of this page).
 
Send your subscription contribution along with the voucher to Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Dept., 10305 Crystal Falls Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742.   Please do not send cash. 
  
        ALWAYS CALL 9-1-1 IN AN EMERGENCY

Even if you are not Mt. Aetna VFD subscriber, always call 9-1-1 if you have a fire, accident or medical emergency. We respond to ALL calls for service regardless of your status as a subscriber. In fact, our crews don’t know who subscribes and who doesn’t. So, never hesitate. If you need help – call 9-1-1 and the Mt. Aetna volunteers will respond.
